About us
Innovative STEM Sessions Designed for Kids
STEMFun delivers carefully crafted educational sessions and kits that introduce children aged 6-14 to STEM subjects through fun projects like building battery-powered walking robots. Our kits come with all materials and instructions for easy use in classrooms, clubs, or at home.
Our in-house-designed kits and engaging sessions teach children circuits, mechanics, and robotics, enhancing maths and fine motor skills through hands-on learning.
We must ignite a passion in children for hands-on engineering and science. We cannot allow future generations to grow up devoid of basic mechanical, electrical and scientific understanding. Whether they use these skills every day or not, their lives will be richer for the knowledge and experience we choose to instil in them today.

Why STEM? Why Hands On?
STEM isn’t just a set of subjects – it’s a way of thinking that prepares children for whatever the future throws at them.
Curriculum-Aligned
Sessions support educational standards for years 6 to 14, making learning relevant and effective.
Where We Offer Our Programmes
StemFun delivers hands-on STEM experiences in schools and community venues. We started out in St Helens, Merseyside and are spreading out as rapidly from there. We intend to cover as much of the UK as possible. We offer after-school clubs, in-school holiday clubs and enrichment days, as well as sessions that can be funded through the government’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, where schools or councils wish to partner with us. We also work with local community hubs, youth groups and family centres to bring practical STEM learning into the heart of neighbourhoods, helping schools and community organisations build demand and reach children who might not usually access this kind of provision.
If you have somewhere else you think our course would benefit children, please get in touch.
Let's try and make it more than a trickle.
Costs & Funding
The cost of each course will always be kept to a minimum, with typical session costs of around £3-£6. We operate as a not-for-profit organisation, and whenever possible, we will offer places free of charge.
